This video explains the five elements of sentence structure which are; Subject, Verb, Complement, Object and Adjunct. These elements can be written as a formula: (S) V (C) (O) (A).
In addition, the application of this formula in the analysis of any structural or functional type of sentence is explained in this video. The verb element is considered as the mandatory element which can occur in various forms such as; transitive, intransitive, mono-transitive, Di-transitive, finite, regular, irregular, dynamic, stative etc.
