Why is myschool selecting a different answer from what they solved? Don't they know that (2/root A) that they ticked correct is diffrent from (2/root 2) that they solved?

The answer is D because (2/root 2) equals root 2 when rationalized.

Incomplete solution.

Rationalize the denominator!

2/√2 × √2/√2
[Multiply top and bottom by √2]

2√2/2
Simplifying correctly gives √2

2 divided by root two,when you rationalize it will give root two

The answer is correct all inclusive in physics page 390

the answer is D

I = 2sinwt compare with I = I.sinwt
Irms = I. ÷ √2
I. = 2
Irms = 2. ×. √2
-----. ------
√2. √2

= 2√2
--------,
2 2 would cancel 2 and the answer
= √2
OR

Irms = 2. ×. √2
-----. ------
√2. √2, √2 cancels √2 and the answer is 2√2.

This is quite confusing oo
Irms=lo/√2

@myschool
i think there is supposed to be a modification here option B and D is correct
because 2/√2 is the same thing as √2 by
but sha las las na B sure pass because nobody asked is to rationalise😅
