In a closed pipe, only odd numbers of harmonics are present as overtones accompanying the fundamental notes.

But open pipe the harmonics present are 2fo, 3fo, 4fo e.tt.c that is , both off and even harmonics are present as overtones.

please sir, is there a formula or how to get the fundamental frequency
i dont get what the first overtone is 3fo , and the 2nd overtone frequency is 5fo
so, my question is that i dont get how you get the fourth overtone to be 9fo
sir/ma please kindly explain to me

closed pipes only odd numbers exist i.e 1,3,5,7....... and it is calculated as (2n + 1) f

open pipes you count everything 1,2,3,4,5....... calculated as (n + 1) f
