1m = 100cm
take cube of both side
therefore 1^3m^3 = 100^3cm^3
1m^3 = 1000000cm^3
and I kg = 1000g
therefore 2700kg = 27000000g

that means that 2700kg/m^3
is same as 2700000g/1000000cm^3
which is then reduced to 2.7g/cm^3
That was how the density was converted.

I hope this helps someone.
