The answer iis option b not a pls check again and resolve
We can use the formula for the period of a simple pendulum

[ T = 2\pi\sqrt{\frac{L}{g}} ]

For the original pendulum: [ T_1 = 2\pi\sqrt{\frac{L}{g}} ]
For the shortened pendulum: [ T_2 = 2\pi\sqrt{\frac{L - \Delta L}{g}} ]
