If the cells are connected in series,effective internal resistance will be sum of all the individual resistances,ie 4+4+4+4=16 ohms.

Wrong answer the answer should be D
EMF is same in parallel connection so 1.5 is correct while the resistance should be 4 as per 1/4+1/4+1/4+1/4 = 1
Since it is same denominator just add it numerator and u get 4/4 Greek it down u get 1

D is correct because the e.m.f is in parallel, i.e, all the volts will remain constant.
