from crest (the highest point of the wave or peak) to trouph(opposite of crest) is one ocillation, this happend twice so 2 occilations, 1 occilation = 1second, 2 occilation = 2 seconds.

We have two halves cycles=1/2 + 1/2 =1sec
Also, we have two quarters of cycle= 1/4 + 1/4 = 1/2 sec

Total periods = 11/2 ( 0ne and half)
