My school the answer to this question is wrong
F=ma
Therefore a= F/m
From the above , acceleration is directly proportional to the force applied on the body so when the force is halved the acceleration is also halved
Then ,from the same expression
Acceleration is inversely proportional to the mass of the body
Hence ,doubling the mass should cause further halving of the acceleration
We now have a/(2*2)=a/4
Therefore the acceleration is QUARTERED
Not quadrupled
Option B is the right option

Lets say when m1=1, m2 =2 and when F1 = 2, F2=1.
a1 = F1/m1, 2/1 , = 2 while,
a2 = F2/m2, 1/2, = 1/2.
hence acceleration will be quatered.
