The linear expansivity of brass is 2 x 10\(^{-5}\) \(^oC^{-1}\). If the volume of piece of brass is 10cm\(^3\) at 0\(^o\)C. What will be its volume at 100\(^o\)C?
3 x \(\alpha\) = \(\frac{V_2 - V_1}{V_1 \times \Delta \theta}\)
3 x 2 x 10\(^{-5}\) = \(\frac{V_2 - 10}{100 \times 10}\)
V\(_2\) = (100 x 10 x 3 x 2 10\(^{-2}\)) + 10
= 10.06 cm\(^3\)
