The force required to make an object of mass \( m \), traveling with velocity \( v \), turn in a circle of radius \( r \) is known as the \textbf{centripetal force}. The formula for centripetal force \( F_c \) is given by: \(F_c = \frac{mv^2}{r}\)
where:\( m \) = mass of the object, \( v \) = velocity of the object, \( r \) = radius of the circular path.
