The sum of the upward forces = sum of downward force(weight of the bar)

the forces are moving in opposite direction;
F1+F2=20N+20N
=40N

The weight of the bar is acting downward. This is the only force that counterbalances the efeect of two upward forces (i.e 20N on the two pivot). For the bar to balance horizontally (at equibrium), the total upward forces must equal to the total downward forces. Therefore, the weight of the bar = 20N + 20N = 40N

The correct answer is E. ie
Clockwise moment = Anti clockwise moment
weight(downward force)at A x 20 = 50 x20
Weight(downward force) at A = 1000/20
Weight(downward force) kat A = 50N
