In parallel R=1÷r +1÷r in series R=r+r
R=1÷2+1÷2=1 R=3+4=7
R=1+7=8

I am confused. the resistor 3 and4 are connected in parallel. how did they turn out to be connected in series . my school please explain

the 2ohms each are in parallel, and for ohm parallel connections are always inversely calculated:
1/R=1/2+1/2=2/4 equating will give U ....0.5 or 1 approximately. I Guess u know dat it was LCM I used thanks.Now sum it they are now in series
R=0.5+3+4=7.5 approximately 8! thanks.
