That's true because, mag-field lines are drawn to show the direction of the force that will be exerted on any N post placed at that point in the mag-field.

And if you notice,the wheel is being directed to the south. Making the ans.C that is from north to south

magnetic lines of force travel from the north pole to the south pole

or you can also use Fleming's left hand rule
which is that the director of the current the magnetic force field and the motion of the conductor are mutually perpendicular
