Myopic (nearsightedness) defects in the human eye can be corrected through the use of concave lenses. These lenses are thinner at the center and thicker at the edges, causing light rays to diverge before they reach the eye's lens, which helps in focusing the image correctly on the retina for people with myopia.

Myiopic defeat i.e shortsightedness is corrected by the use of diverging lens i.e concave lens

myopia (short sightedness) is corrected by the use of concave spectacle lens or diverging spectacle which diverges the ray of light entering the eyes.
