hmm....i think d answer is actually 1914.00211 but of the time taken to sight lightening were to be neglected, its distance would be 1914m... so u don't know how you guys got ur answer when it's not echo sounding.

Myschool this has nothing to do with echo na. So the 2x part of the formula does not apply. It is X instead.
X=VT
X=330×5.8=1914m

V=2x/t

X=vt/2

The question here is not based on echo. So the formula to be applied is
speed= distance/time
Distance = speed ×time
Distance = 330×5.8
Distance = 1914m
