Very wrong 60N is the answer upward force R=m(g+a) 5(10+2=60

In this case, the tension in the string should be greater than the net force. The lift is moving upwards so a force is acting on the object from beneath. it is hanging from the air so gravity is also acting on it from the top. in order for object to remain on the string, the string must overcome these two forces. in that sense we should be looking at an equation of this manner. T = mg + ma(netforce) the tension should be 60.

its not about the lift ascendng the fact is that the gravity acts downward and the acceleration upward hence we would subtract because it in opposite direction
