This answer is incorrect and it's very shameful wrong answers are provided at times.

From the question already, we know it's a stepdown transformer which has an INPUT VOLTAGE ( PRIMARY ) of 240V and is expected to provide 120V as the OUTPUT ( SECONDARY ). Meaning the number of turns for the primary coil is 5500 turns and you're looking for the secondary.

Upon solving, you should have an answer of 2750 turns. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
