energy stored in a capacitor the formula for calculating that is 1/2 CV square West c is your capacitance in 10 * 10 ^ -6 and your v is 12 square so which is giving us a total of 1 over 2 * 12 which was the answer to become 7.2 * 10 ^ - 4
