subtract 3.5 from 13.4 and add it to the atmospheric pressure

Pressure of gas supply =pressure at D = Atmospheric pressure + pressure due to column of Mercury above D= 76cmHg+(13.4 - 3.5)cmHg = 85.9cmHg
