V = I(R+r)
12=2(3+(6R/6+R))
Divide both sides by 2
6=3+(6R/6+R)
Subtract 3 from both sides
3=6R/6+R
Cross multiply
3(6+R)=6R
18+3R=6R
18=6R-3R
18=3R
Divide both sides by 3
We therefore have, R=18/3=6 ohms
