according to the question they were referring, to 1Ohms if you watch carefully you will find that 3 and 1 are in series so total Resistance is 4Ohms.. from V=KI

v=IR

I=V/R

I=12/4

I=3A.

find the total resistance in the circuit there are two parallel connect so sort it out first
1/r = 1/3+1/3=2/3; r= 3/2
1/r=1/3+1/3=2/3; r= 3/2
add them together
3/2 + 3/2 = 3
so they are connected in series to 1ohm resistor that is r= 3+1= 4
v=ir
I= v/r
I= 12/4
I = 3
so the current passing through resistors in series are the same so the answer is 3

why does your system keep changing answers. I could answer b and end up seeing that my answer was changed to d... please fix this

according to ohms law V=IR ,therefore I=v/R
I=12/4
=3
