Two long parallel wires X and Y carry currents 3A and 5A each. if the force experienced by unit length is 5 x 10-5N. the force per unit length experienced by wire Y is
3 x 10-5
3 x 10-6
5 x 105
5 x 10-5

since they said two parallel wires.., that means the currents are in the same direction....
and therefore the force is attractive if the currents are in the same direction and repulsive if the currents are in different directions (i.e perpendicular)
so that means the force experienced by Y is equal to the force experienced by X (because they are parallel)
-----> Fy = Fx
-----> Fy = 5 × 10-⁵

My school, they did not state in the question that the force are oppositely directed

Newton's law is a motion based law, hw come its Applicable in force experienced by length of wire ? I am confused pls

Pls Take A Look At These And Take Note And Correction
F=BIL(parallel Angle=0)
Force Per Unit Length
F/L=BI
For X, I=3A
F/L=5x10^-5 N/m
B= (F/L)/I
B=5x10^-5/3
B=1.67x10^-5 T
For Y, I =5A
And B=1.67x10^-5 T
F/L=BI
F/L=1.67x10^-5x5
F/L=8.35x10^-5 N/m
Take Note.
