Let's first solve for current I using total resistance
RT=6||4 +10
RT=(6×4/6+4)+10
RT=(24/10)+10
RT=2.4+10
RT=12.4
applying ohms law V=IR
I=12/12.4
I=0.97A
let's now find our p.d across parallel resistors
Rp=1/R1+1/R2
Rp=1/6+1/4
=12/5
=2.4
:- p.d across parallel resistors
V=IR
V=0.97×2.4
V=2.3v.
