A periodic pulse travels a distance of 20.0m in 1.00s. If its frequency is 2.0 x 103Hz. Calculate the wavelength.
1.0 x 10-3m
1.0 x 10-2m
2.0 x 10-2m
1.0 x 102m

Distance=20m
Time=1s
Frequency=2×10^3
Wave length=?
Using
V=d/t
=20/1
=20m/s
There fore
Using
Velocity=wave length×frequency
20 =w×2×10^3
Divide both sides by 2×10^3
W=20/2×10^3
=1×10^1-3
=1×10^-3

I thought the power in the question is positive
How come the expect it to be negative in the answer

Velocity= frequency x wavelength
therefore to get wavelength: wavelength= velocity/frequency
to get velocity: distance/time
20/1=20m/s
frequency= 2× 10^3
therefore, wavelength= 20/2.0× 10^3
= 0.01 or 1.0× 10^-2
for those asking or wondering how it's negative it's velocity/ frequency not frequency/velocity

pls oo.. C is the correct option ..
after finding velocity then divide by frequency you have 2 ×10^-2
