the wooden block reest on rough surface let the force be Fs and the normal force be Fn then the cosfficient of the friction coefficient= Fs/Fn
but Fn = m g
m=1.6kg
g=10ms/s^2
Fs=8N
coefficient of friction= Fs/mg = 8/1.6 x 10 = 8/16 =0.5
