Two forces, whose resultant is 100N are perpendicular to each other. If one of them makes an angle of 60o with the resultant, calculate the magnitude. (Sin 60o = 0.8660, Cos 60o = 0.500)

a

b

X²+y²= 100²
Adj² + opp² = hyp²

From the diagram above
Cos = adj/ hyp
Cos 60 = x/100
X = 50N

Or
From my first diagram

Sin = opp/ hyp
Sin ( 90-60) = y/hyp
Sin 30 = y / 100
Y = 50N

i think the answer should be 86.6N 💁💁 f=100sin60. =100×0.8660=86.6N

Cos = adj/hyp

Cos 60 = adj/100N

adj = cos 60 × 100N

adj = 0.5 × 100N

adj = 50N

The answer of these questions is incorrect even in all inclusive calculations in physics stated that the answer is 86.6N under scalars and vectors exercise 12

Pls I don't understand
