myopic ie short sightedness.. such patient can c near objet but nt distant ones ie object. at infinity..... he or she needs a concave lens (in which it faces bourges inside or away from d observer)

Myopia (Short-sightedness) — corrected with Concave (diverging) lens
Hyperopia (Long-sightedness) — corrected with Convex (converging) lens
Presbyopia — corrected with Convex lens or Bifocal lenses
Astigmatism — corrected with Cylindrical lens
Colour Blindness — Special tinted lenses (cannot be fully corrected)
Cataract — Artificial intraocular lens after surgery

The correct answer is B, concave lens. It diverges the light rays and reduces the focal length. allowing the person to see distant objects clearly

B. a concave lens

Explanation:
Myopia (nearsightedness) occurs when:

The eyeball is too long or

The cornea/lens has too much curvature

This causes light to focus in front of the retina instead of on it.

A concave (diverging) lens is used because it:

Diverges incoming light rays

Shifts the focal point backward onto the retina

Reduces the eye's excessive converging power

Why not other options?
A: Convex lenses would worsen myopia (they converge light more)

C: Only needed for complex cases like astigmatism with myopia

D: Prisms don't correct focus errors

E: Mirrors aren't used in standard vision correction
