An air bubble rises from the bottom to the top of a water dam which is 40m deep. The volume of the bubble just below the surface is 2.5cm³. Find its volume at the bottom of the dam, if atmospheric pressure is equivalent to 10m water

Correct Answer: Option E

Explanation

At constant temperature P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

P₂ = P₁ + 40

= 10 + 40 = 50m

10 x 2.5 = 50 x V₂

V₂ = 0.5cm³
