Radiation doesn't require material medium e.g rays from the sun reaches the earth with no material medium ( objects) ; a girl sitting near a furnace feel heat,a typical example of radiation. In a vacuum ( flask) it is noticed that the body or surface are silver or coated with different colour these is to prevent heat lost by radiation and convection.
