A jet engine develops a thrust of 270Ns when the velocity of the exhaust gases relative to the engine is 300ms-1. What is the mass of the material ejected per second?
81.00kg

Remember Jet and rocket propulsion
Thrust(Force) = mass × velocity
270 = mass × 300
mass = 270÷300
mass = 0.90kg
C

Thrust= force × time
But force and time are not given so we go further
force = mass × acceleration (remember your ×TIME
acceleration = mass × change in velocity /time
therefore (just like in dimension)
thrust becomes
thrust = mass×change in velocity×time /time
270= mass× 300-0 × time /time
time will cancel time
then making mass the subject of formula
mass = 270/300
mass= 0.90kg

Simple and short
Thrust = mass x velocity
Therefore: mass = Thrust / velocity
Mass = 270 / 300
= 0.90
