The magnification of any object placed in front of a plane mirror is 1 irrespective of the height of the object or its distance from the mirror since the images formed by a plane mirror are always the same size as their respective objects.

In a plane mirror the size of the object is equal to size of the image and the image distance is equals to the object distance.
And magnification is equal to image size divided by object size and magnification is also equals to image distance divided by object distance.
Therefore, 10/10 = 1
or 2/2 = 1

Remember that magnification is image distance÷object distance.and in plane mirror the image distance is =the object distance.
So 2÷2=1

Calculations are done on curved mirrors, the object and image in plane mirror will always be equal (1)
no matter the size of object or distance.
