Now the smallest graduation on a metre reule is 0.1cm
But the least possible error occur at 1/10 of the smallest graduation which is
0.01cm = 0.1mm

meter rule is 100cm=0.1m
100 divisions; 0.1cm=0.0001m=0.1mm
hence the answer is 0.1mm
