Okay, so for cohesion , it is the force between like molecules ,while for adhesion it is the force between different molecules, another way to remember is that use can use glue to remember , if you look at the container ,they say adhesive , not cohesive so you can use this to remember that since the gum joins maybe gum molecules together with whatever things you want to stick together so you can know that if it is same substance it is cohesion but if different adhesion
