For a plane mirror if an object moves with a velocity "v", then the image moves with a velocity "2v"
So 2(3) = 6ms^-1

When the boy moves away from the mirror, his image also moves away from him. Since the image is virtual and behind the mirror, the distance between the boy and his image increases at a rate twice the speed of the boy.

So, the speed at which his image is approaching him is:

6.0 ms^-1
The correct answer is:

B. 6.0 ms^-1
