An object is projected with a velocity of 100 ms\(^{-1}\) from the ground level at an angle \(\theta\) to the vertical. If the total time of flight of the projectile is 10 s, calculate θ. (g = 10 ms\(^{-2}\)).

***my school the above answer is incorrect***
it was clearly stated in the question that the body was projected at an angle theta(¢) to the vertical
In the formula for time of flight, theta(¢) is equal to the angle between the body and the horizontal
For the above reason ,at the end of the evaluation of the angle between the body and the horizontal ,it should be be subtracted from 90° to give the angle between the body and the vertical as the question demanded
hence ,the answer is 90°-30°=60°
D is the correct option

the angle stated in the question is theta, and theta is the angle to the vertical. Normally the angle of projection is to the horizontal. 😂 I got 60 too but i didnt refer to the question after 😂😂

It's supposed,to be 90-30=60 because it is at an angle to the vertical
