another way to go is: formula for work = force x distance
force horizontally= Fcos$
total formula to be use is workdone = Fcos$ x distance
W =2xcos$ x distance
W =2xcos60 x 3
W=2 x 1/2 x3
therefore W =3joules

My school the answer you gave is wrong. You applied the formula to calculate the workdone by an object that is dragged along a horizontal surface when the applied force is inclined at an angle to the horizontal.
Please check the correct sollution in the image attached to this.
