To find the image distance, we can use the mirror equation:

1/f = 1/do + 1/di

Given:
f = 10 cm
do = 5 cm

1/10 = 1/5 + 1/di
1/di = 1/10 - 1/5
1/di = 1/10 - 2/10
1/di = -1/10

di = -10 cm

Since the image distance is negative, the image is in front of the mirror and virtual.

However, considering the object is between the focal point and the mirror (5 cm < 10 cm), the correct interpretation is:

The correct answer is:

A) 10 cm in front of the mirror

sorry 10 cm behind the mirror because it is negative and virtual

The answer is a
Concave lens is negative while convex lens is positive
So the solving is
U(object distance)=-5
F(focal length)=-10
1/-10=1/v+(1/-5)
1/-10+1/5=1/v
v=10
If the image distance is positive is at the front of the mirror
If the image distance is negative is behind the mirror
So the answer is 10xm in front of the mirror

1/f = 1/V + 1/U
1/f= 1/10
1/U= 1/5
1/V = ?

1/10 = 1/5 + 1/V
LCM OF 5&V is 5V

1/10 = V+5/5V
CROSS MULTIPLY ✖️

5V = 10(V+5)
5V = 10V + 50
COLLECT LIKE TERMS
=5V-10V = 50
= -5V = 50
DBS BY -5

V= 50/-5
= -10(ANS)

It's behind the mirror since it's -ve
