energy= power Γ— time
note that when we are solving,we need to check our units.
the unit of power is watt,then we have ten 60W and five 40 W
let's check time,we have 24 hours
so 24Γ— 60
energy=(60W Γ— 10 + 40W Γ— 5) Γ— 24
energy=(600W + 200W) Γ— 24
energy= (800WΓ—24hours)
energy =19.2Kwh(kilowatts/hour)

There are 2 correct answers. B and D. 19.2 and 19.20 are the same answers, just that one is at 3S.F and the other is at 2 D.P

My school it says time interval for a reason
meaning the 60watt bulbs work for 12hours then the 40watt bulbs work for the remaining time interval which is equal
simplifying gives 9.6Kwh
