The Vrms is the D.C Equivalent of an Alternating current and it is clearly stated in the question. So the answer is 12V
One has to be very careful when solving jamb questions

My school the answer is 8.5 V not 12.0
According to my own solving
12Β² = 144
2Ο/144 = 72
β72 = 8.48 approximately 8.5 π

You people are very wrong in solving your questions sometimes lyk dis question in particular V r.m.s=peakV/square root of two....and rhe right answer is 8.5
