When white light passes through a prism, depending on the wavelength of the constituent color of white light, they get dispersed and the spectrum VIBGYOR is obtained.

The colors in the VIBGYOR is shown as below:

V = Violet

I = Indigo

B = Blue

G = Green

Y = Yellow

O = Orange

R = Red

The red color in the spectrum has maximum wavelength due to which it is less deviated and the violet light which has the least wavelength gets deviated the most.

Thus, the red color is less deviated and the violet color is most deviated.
