The answer is D
and C is red because IT IS THE LEAST DEVIATED COLOUR IN TGE LIGHT SPECTRA followed by yellow and then blue.

Red.....G-Green...B-Blue. ROY G BIV its d formula u'd used

Myschool please nau😭🙏

Its D. Red can never be the most deviated its the least and in the diagram (a) is the most deviated therefore we will go according to the most deviated to the least deviated (a,b,c) c is the least deviated. Therefore I'll pick D since it's going according to most deviated to least deviated (a,b,c)

👌👌Note: When light travels from a dense to a less dense medium it shifts away from the normal
Also note in ROYGBIV red is the least deviated and has the highest wavelength while violet is the most deviated and has the lowest wavelength
Therefore initial medium is dense
final medium is less dense
Red least deviate =🅰
and blue most deviate=C
So option A is right answer ✅✅☑️☑️

the correct ans should be D becos it is a matter of refraction,blue will diverge more dan yellow and then yellow will diverge more dan blue

Based on the image provided, the question asks to identify the colors of light represented by the rays a, b, and c after a beam of white light travels from a rare to a dense medium.
This phenomenon is known as dispersion, where white light is separated into its constituent colors. The separation occurs because different colors of light have different wavelengths and therefore bend at different angles when passing through a medium (like a prism or glass block).
Here are the key principles of dispersion:
* Refractive index: The refractive index of a medium is dependent on the wavelength of light. Shorter wavelengths (like blue and violet) are bent more, while longer wavelengths (like red and orange) are bent less.
* Order of colors: When white light disperses, the order of colors is the same as in a rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet (ROYGBIV).
* Bending:
* Red light has the longest wavelength and is refracted the least. It will be the ray closest to the original path.
* Blue/Violet light has the shortest wavelength and is refracted the most. It will be the ray that is bent the furthest from the original path.
In the diagram:
* The original white light beam is shown hitting the interface between the rare and dense medium.
* The dashed line represents the normal.
* The light disperses into three separate rays: a, b, and c.
* Ray c is the one that is bent the least (closest to the normal if the angle of incidence is greater than the angle of refraction), or the one that is bent the least from the original path. Therefore, ray c represents the color with the longest wavelength, which is red.
* Ray a is the one that is bent the most (furthest from the original path). Therefore, ray a represents the color with the shortest wavelength, which is blue (or violet).
* Ray b is in between rays a and c. It represents a color with a wavelength between blue and red, such as yellow or green.
Looking at the options, we need to find the one that matches this order:
* Ray a = Blue
* Ray b = Yellow
* Ray c = Red
Let's check the options provided in the image:
* A. red, green and blue (incorrect order)
* B. Green, red and blue (incorrect order)
* C. Yellow, blue and red (incorrect order)
* D. Blue, yellow and red (This matches our deduction: ray a = Blue, ray b = Yellow, and ray c = Red).
Therefore, the correct answer is D. Blue, yellow and red.
