t1²/t2² = l1/l2

Since the second length was shorten it becomes L - 1.5 note L i used to minus is the length L
17²/8.5² = L1/L2
289/72.25 = L/L-1.5

289/72.25=L/L-1.5
cross multiply
72.25L=289(L-1.5)
72.25L=289L-433.5
