According to the rudiments of music, we have technical names for the notes in music. it is stated in a chronological order: tonic, supertonic, mediant, subdominant, dominant, submediant, leading tone, tonic. it can be called the technical names for the tonic solfa(solphege). doh is tonic, reh is supertonic, me is mediant, fah is subdominant, soh is dominant, lah is submediant, te is leading note, then doh' is tonic. this is applicable to any given key. We were ask the technical name of note(b) in dmajor. to get this, you will write out the letters in dmajor which is

On the scale of D major, note B is solfa note la. La is called submediant.
