a=1/2 r=T2/T1=1/4/1/2=1/2 Sn=a/1-r
=1/2/1-1/2. =1/2/1/2=1.

the formula for sum of GP to infinity is S=a/(1-r)
so...substituting we have,s=1/2÷(1-(-1/2)
S=1/2÷((2+1)/2)
adding and finding the lcm we have; S=1/3... so we have to subtract 1 from the the total sum which is S=1/3...so our final answer is -2/3... u guys should just calm down and understand the question and my school made a mistake... it's supposed to be -1/8 nor 1/8(the third term).And if u aren't sure about the ratio u can check using the formula Tn=ar^n-1...u would get the ratio -1/2.byeee and have a great day
