p dozen(s) of banana = 12p
3q are bad
Let the good banana be r
bad banana (3q) + good banana (r) = total banana (12p)
3q + r = 12p
r = 12p - 3q
the good banana = 12p - 3q
if i buy just one third, this becomes:
= 1/3 (12p - 3q)
= 4p - q
