the question shows that R is the base of observation which is 30⁰ while T is the top where of the observation from R the distance between R and the foot of T is 120
thereby the distance of observation RT was asked to be calculated
thus giving the equation
cos 30⁰ = hypotenuse/120cm
cos 30° is the same as √3/2
√3/2=hypotenuse/120cm
hypotenuse =120 x √3/2
hypotenuse=60√3cm
