This is wrong in every angle. The formula for the total surface area of a cylinder is equal to 2πr²+2πrh. Factorising 2πr(r+h).

When using the formula for the question above:

R=5,length=7.

Therefore, putting in the figures for r & L, in the formula.

2πr(r+h)

2 x 3.14 x 5(5+7)

31.4(12)=376.8cm³.

Try to rectify this please.

I think d correct ans is 376.8,and d formula is incorrect

Is height different from length
And the formula for total surface area of a cylinder is (2πr^2+πrh)?......I was thinking that we are supposed to calculate the height using Pythagoras theorem's with the length and radius......Thank!
I'm not sure if you would able to get back to me with what you think.

Pls that ans is wrong .. See dis solution..

TSA=2πr(l+r)

TSA=2*3.14*5(7+5)

=31.4(12)=376.7cm^2

Pls adim change the option and ans

Here is an explanation:

its consists of two separate coil. this lamination reduces loss of energy in the form of heat due to eddy currents

that's decreasing the heat

The selected answer is wrong:

TSA=2πr(l+r)

TSA=2*3.14*5(7+5)

=31.4(12)=376.7cm^2
