Find the coefficient of m in the expression of (\(\frac{m}{2} - 1 \frac{1}{2}\)) (m + \(\frac{2}{3}\))
-
A.
-\(\frac{1}{6}\)
-
B.
- \(\frac{1}{2}\)
-
C.
-1
-
D.
-1\(\frac{1}{6}\)
Correct Answer: Option D
Explanation
(\(\frac{m}{2} - 1\frac{1}{4}\))(m + \(\frac{2}{3}\))
(\(\frac{m}{2} - \frac{3}{2}\))(\(\frac{m}{1} + \frac{2}{3}\))
= \(\frac{m^2}{3} + \frac{3m}{6} - \frac{6}{6}\)
= \(\frac{2m - 9m}{6}\)
= \(\frac{-7m}{6}\)
= 1\(\frac{1}{6}\)
