u get the mean first by adding all the numbers together and divide by 6 (48/6)=8.....then u subtract each value above from 8.....add them up neglecting the minus sign which gives us 14.....then u divide by 6 again (14/6) = 7/3......i guess it should be clearer nw

first of all total number of frequency is 6 i:e f .so frequency multiple by score is 48 i:e fx so fx/f=8 so m.d=x i.e d score minus d sum of fx/f i.e 8 wich is 115 i.e the total.now divided by total number of frequency wish is goin to give us 7/3.
