the answer supposed to be 4 because when u use the formula for gradient of perpendicular lines I.e m1 -minus 1 over m2.... so make y the subject of formula in the two equations.... I.e 2y:(ax) - 4.......(1). y: -(x/4) -7....comparing the equations with y:mx + c..where m:gradient... so now the slope of equ 2 is -1/4....so. a:-1/-1/4 (from the formula of perpendicular lines )...it's a:4
